Maybe looks Pär Johan Jonsson Thysell like this soldier when he come home?

In 1700 to 1800 Century Harer was infantry and horse-borne people. In the horse-borne were Husarer, Dragon and rider. Husaren were selected for their skill on horseback. The word hussar derived from Serbia as Gusár, who became Husàr in Hungarian and hussar in Swedish. That meant robber or fast riders and in our army scout / spy. They were easily fitted with pistol and saber. Husaren was elegantly dressed with much brass and elegant helmet with plumes on its head. Perhaps as an operetta riders. Dragon was heavily armed and the first withdrawal of a gun model less, but our ancestor was probably only armed with gun and saber. The rifle had a piston which ended with a drakhuvud. Dragon = Drake hence the name dragon. Dragonen had a beautiful uniform with a helmet decorated with "top bristles" beautiful vest / jacket and trousers that were läderskodda bottom and so of course ridstövlar. It was probably a pretty sight when dragon Erik Malberg came hemridande to Rosendal in Flen or REENGAGE in Helgesta. Erik Malberg is difficult to find in church records and I have been in the Army National Archives and looked at General muster Coils (GMR). But it is very difficult to find the right too. The name is spelled Malberg Mahlberg and Mellberg.

To saw maybe Jonas Tysell when he came home.

The name can be taken in connection with mönstringen and home probably can be at the root of the name, perhaps derived from the Mellösa, Mälby or similar. Riders were in the large columns which participated in the battles. They were dressed more appropriate for combat duties but had jacket with shiny mässingsknapper.
