Service speed 19.5 knots. 1,350 passengers (550 first class, 800 third class). Built for Cunard Line, British flag, in 1884 and named Umbria. Liverpool-New York service. Won Trans-Atlantic Blue Ribbon in 1887. Scrapped in 1910

According to the 1910 Federal Census, for District 40, Portland, Multnomah, Oregon, Claus was listed as born in April 1870 which could be a mistake, it also listed that he emigrated in 1882 and he was working as a bartender. The family was listed as living at 327 Glison, Portland, Oregon.
